Characters
The party, and the names that do not match
Updated 2026-10-18
I am not retelling the plot. The official Steam line is enough for the premise: two worlds, Inferia and Celestia, and a journey to keep them from ending. This page is the name map I needed when a Japanese guide and an English guide talked past each other.
Core party
| English | Japanese | Note I verified |
|---|---|---|
| Reid Hershel | リッド・ハーシェル | The red-haired lead on the key art and in the opening. |
| Farah Oersted | ファラ・エルステッド | Teal hair, orange outfit, next to Reid on the store art. |
| Keele Zeibel | キール・ツァイベル | One of the two Craymel Cage users, with Meredy. |
| Meredy | メルディ | The other Craymel Cage. Pink hair on the key art. |
| Chat | チャット | Joins later. I am not pinning a chapter number I did not clock. |
| Max | フォッグ (Fog) | English and Japanese names differ. Do not search Japanese guides for 'Max'. |
| Ras | レイシス (Race) | Same problem. English Ras, Japanese Race. |
| Quickie | クィッキー | The small pet on the key art and in skit portraits. |
Greater Craymels such as Efreet and Volt are summons inside the cage system, not extra party members you walk around as. Volt is also the name attached to the PSP first-print glitch, which is a bug, not a character rewrite. The cage rules are on the systems page. Microphones are on the voice cast page.
What I will not pretend to know
Scene-by-scene motives, exact recruit chapters, and spoiler beats belong in a walkthrough that played the game on a clock. RPG Site's walkthrough is the one I send people to. Renaming was removed in the remaster, so the names in this table are the names the voices will say.
